Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and the nursing staff in delivering timely patient care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, managing flow, administering injections, and EMR documentation.

The role may require helping at the front desk and coordinating with the RN or physician. Required MA program completion or equivalent training, with a path toward BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completed Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education program.
• Fewer than 6 months of MA experience requires at least 160 clinical externship hours.
• Preferred: Medical Terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and collects data.
• Assists with injections and procedures as delegated by RN/Provider.
• Documents in EMR and communicates with patients and staff.
• Provides front desk backup and supports scheduling as needed.
