Job summary

Allina Health Group Plymouth is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff in delivering timely, quality patient care. You will room patients, manage flow, assist with exams, and perform injections and specimen handling.

This role requires completing a MA program, CPR/BLS, and familiarity with EMR; externship hours may apply for new graduates. We offer a $2,000 starting bonus and a stable 8-hour day shift with no weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Completed a Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education.
• Fewer than six months MA experience must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship or practicum.
• MA certifications (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAA) or in-house BLS training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow.
• Assists with physician exams and injections.
• Collects patient information and vital signs; documents in EMR.
• Obtains specimens and coordinates lab/imaging results.
• May assist with front desk duties and patient registration/scheduling.
