Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Convenient Care team in Northampton, MA. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care group to ensure smooth patient transitions, maintain accurate records, and support providers during exams and procedures.

The role includes patient intake, clinical support, and documentation within the EHR, with opportunities for career ladder advancement from MA I to MA IV based on performance and credentialing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR-BLS from American Heart Association required.
• MAI/MAII/MAIII/MAIV ladder based on experience and Baystate Health policy.
• Credentialing through ARMA, AMT, CCMA, AAMA, or NCMA preferred/required by role.

Responsibilities

• Record vitals and patient history; prepare intake forms in EHR.
• Support providers during examinations, testing, and procedures.
• Process orders, refills, and prior authorizations; document data promptly.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer vaccines as allowed.
• Review discharge instructions and coordinate follow-up care.
