McLaren Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role in Michigan. You will perform a variety of patient care tasks, assist in examinations, take vital signs, draw blood, administer injections and support clerical duties to keep daily operations efficient.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant Medical Assistant experience or program completion. Certification is preferred (CMA/RMA), EMR experience is a plus, and consistent teamwork with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a Medical Assistant or a Patient Care Tech.
• OR High school diploma or equivalent and completion of one of the following programs: medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, armed services medic, or patient care technician.
• For clinics with Rural Health Designation, BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• For float positions, travel between clinics is required.
• Preferred: CMA or RMA certification; EMR experience; 1 year in medical office with multiple providers; experience in same specialty.

Responsabilités

• Performs to service excellence standards: responds promptly, professionally and courteously to all customers’ needs.
• Prepares examining rooms and stocks supplies; organizes forms for physicals.
• Collaborates with providers to collect patient history and prepare equipment; documents all interventions and patient responses.
• Administers EKGs, PFTs, immunizations, medicines, and blood draws as directed.
• Obtains prescriptions approvals and phones in orders; completes lab slips and referral forms.
• Assists with routine procedures for gynecological exams, physicals, and office visits.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent (and six months experience as Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech)

Completion of Medical Assistant program / EMT / nurse aide / LPN / armed services medic / patient care technician
