Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care by taking vital signs, assisting in procedures, drawing blood, giving injections, and related clerical tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma and either six months of MA experience or completion of an approved MA program; BLS within six months; no mandatory travel. CMA/RMA preferred; EMR experience a plus; clinic experience with multiple providers is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months MA or Patient Care Tech experience.
• Or completion of an approved medical assistant program or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire for Rural Health sites.
• Float positions may require clinic travel.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist in examinations and procedures.
• administer injections and venipuncture as directed and document in charts.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies; assist with immunizations and labs.
