Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Kokomo, IN. The MA will support a primary care physician, delivering high-quality patient care and a seamless guest experience. The role blends medical assisting with front-desk responsibilities to ensure smooth patient flow.

Minimum 1 year of MA experience in primary care is preferred. Graduation from an MA program and MA certification/registration are strongly recommended, with CPR/BLS required at start.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
• MA certification or registration required where applicable
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date
• Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked
• Review prior medical information and gather updated health data for provider
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed
• Collaborate with care team to develop individual patient plans and address care gaps
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordination of external care
• Document data in medical records per guidelines
• Process test results and relay results to patient via e-message, mail, or phone
• Support outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments
