Job summary

Marathon Health Inc in Indiana is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a smooth guest experience, performing both clinical duties and front-desk tasks.

Key responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, managing medical records, coordinating referrals, and supporting setup and cleanup of exam rooms.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience as Medical Assistant (preferred in Primary Care)
• Graduation from an MA program or related program
• National or state MA certification or registration required/preferred by state
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
• Take vitals and assist with procedures; coordinate with labs for tests
• Prepare and administer meds and immunizations as directed by Provider
• Front desk duties: scheduling, chart requests, referrals, and check-in/check-out
• Document in medical records and communicate results to patients
• Support outreach to patients to improve engagement and care coordination
