Job summary

TexomaCare, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision. You will interview patients, record vital signs, perform venipuncture, document in EMR, and prepare exam rooms while also assisting at the front desk as needed.

Requirements include a High School diploma (or equivalent), a Medical Assistant certificate or 1 year of MA experience, and BLS/CPR certification. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process.
• General medical office procedures knowledge.
• Understand end-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to perform professionally in all interactions.
• Experience with EKG and patient care testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care duties under physician direction.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, venipuncture, and related procedures.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Assist in covering the front desk as required.
