Job summary

TexomaCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision in Denison, TX. You will interview patients, measure vitals, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR per guidelines. You will also prepare rooms and assist at the front desk as needed.

The role requires medical terminology knowledge, CPR/BLS, and a MA certificate or 1 year experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Join a network affiliated with UHS/IPM focused on quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out per clinic protocol.
• General medical office procedures knowledge.
• Understanding of cash balancing and charge reconciliation per clinic protocol.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of patient care duties under physician guidance.
• Interview patients and record vital signs and perform venipuncture as directed.
• Document in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist at front desk as needed.
