Job summary

Toledo Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for Cardiology, Monday–Friday (8–5) at Main Campus, Toledo, OH. You will room patients, prep charts, navigate EMR, and perform EKGs, with strong clerical and interpersonal skills required.

Under the Practice Manager, you will assist with phones, appointments, lab work coordination, and x-rays; CMA/RMA credentials are expected. A Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school is required.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred.
• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.
• Ability to perform EKGs and navigate EMR.
• Proficient in chart prepping and clerical duties.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary

Works collaboratively with the provider to room patients in a timely manner. Proficient in chart prepping prior to the patient’s arrival. Easily navigate electronic medical record. Ability to perform EKGs. Assist patients over the phone and performs various clerical duties.

Works under the supervision of the Practice Manager.

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• At the request of the physician, sending in prescription refills.
• Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
• Handle physician schedules.
