Job summary

Toledo Clinic's Family Practice Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative duties in a fast paced office setting. The position runs 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with no weekends, late evenings, or holidays.

Preferred credentials include CMA, CCMA or RMA, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Toledo Clinic offers a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus, with an additional $2,000 retention bonus after one year of service for qualified

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA or RMA) or able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care (minor procedures/surgeries).
• Perform clerical duties (answer phones, schedule appointments, manage patient charts).
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare exam rooms.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments.
• Call in prescription refills as requested by physician.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and/or X-rays.
• Other duties as assigned.

Toledo Clinic's Family Practice Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative duties in a fast paced office setting. This position will work 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday, from 8:00am - 5:00pm. No weekends, late evenings, or holidays! Qualified candidates will have the RMA, CMA, or CCMA credential or be able to obtain such credential within 60 days of hire.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary:

Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.

Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

• 1.Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• 2.Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• 3.Escorting patients to exam room.
• 4.Preparing exam rooms.
• 6.Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• 7.At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• 8.Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• 9.Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
• 11.Other duties as assigned.
