The Toledo Clinic Rheumatology Department is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant to perform both clinical and administrative duties in a busy Toledo office. Hours are Mon-Thu 8-5 and Fri 8-1, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and potential $2,000 retention bonus after one year of service.

Qualified candidates will hold an MA diploma/certificate and an MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA). The position is at Main Campus, Toledo, OH, US, reporting to the Office Manager.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Toledo Clinic Rheumatology Department, located at 4235 Secor Rd, Toledo OH, is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant to perform both administrative and clinical duties in a busy office setting. The hours are Monday- Thursday (8-5) and Fridays (8-1). Qualified candidates will have an MA diploma/certificate and an MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA).

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary

Assist providers with patient treatment, prepares patient for providers, and performs various clerical duties.

Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• Escorting patients to exam room.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
