Gastroenterology Health Partners in New Albany, IN is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinic at 2630 Grant Line Road. You will measure vital signs, collect specimens, and assist physicians during visits, with responsibilities including managing prescriptions and referrals, and coordinating scheduling for tests and appointments.

Must be able to assist physician in an emergency.* Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.* Manage referrals as directed by physician.* Answer patient questions. Notify patients of test results* Assist with scheduling office visits, procedures, laboratory tests, x-rays, outpatient testing, hospital admissions and appointments as necessary.**The Must Haves:*** High school diploma or equivalent required.* 2 years previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.* Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.* BLS certified required.* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.* Must be able to travel to satellite locations
