Gastroenterology Health Partners, powered by One GI, is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant in Louisville, KY. You will measure vital signs, collect specimens, verify health histories, and assist physicians during visits and emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Must be able to travel to satellite locations.

Responsabilités

• Measure vital signs and document data in patient charts.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis as applicable.
• Assist the physician during visits and emergencies.
• Manage patient prescriptions and referrals as directed by the physician.
• Schedule office visits, tests, and imaging as needed.

Snapshot Of Daily Duties

• Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient's chart.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
• Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits. Must be able to assist physician in an emergency.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions. Notify patients of test results
• Assist with scheduling office visits, procedures, laboratory tests, x-rays, outpatient testing, hospital admissions and appointments as necessary.

The Must Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS certified required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
• Must be able to travel to satellite locations
