Job summary

Dayton Gastroenterology in Beavercreek, OH is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinic at 75 Sylvania Drive. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

You will measure vital signs, collect specimens, record health history, assist the physician, manage prescriptions and referrals, and help with scheduling and tests. A current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification and MA experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and MA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care basics.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Measure vital signs and document in patient charts.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis as applicable.
• Obtain and record patient health history and assist physician.
• Assist with office visits, scheduling, referrals, and tests.

Refer a friend who’d be a great fit for One GI and earn a special bonus when they join the team!**Snapshot of Daily Duties*** Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient’s chart.* Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.* Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.* Assist the physician with office visits. Must be able to assist physician in an emergency.* Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.* Manage referrals as directed by physician.* Answer patient questions.
