Gastroenterology Health Partners in New Albany, IN is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinic at 2630 Grant Line Road. You will measure vital signs, collect specimens, and assist physicians during visits, with responsibilities including managing prescriptions and referrals, and coordinating scheduling for tests and appointments.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years MA experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years previous experience as a Medical Assistant required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Measure vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and document in patient chart.
• Assist physician with office visits and emergencies.
• Manage prescriptions and referrals as directed by physician.
• Assist with scheduling visits, procedures, tests and imaging.
