Job summary

Avance Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our growing NC-based clinical team. You will work closely with one provider to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have CMA/CCMA/RMA/EMT certification and at least one year of Medical Assistant experience, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package starting on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• CMA, CCMA, RMA or EMT certification required.
• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider.
