Job summary

Avance Care is expanding its NC footprint and seeking a Front Desk team member to create a warm, efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out. You will support scheduling, data entry in EMR, and handling payments in a busy primary care setting.

Candidates with healthcare administration education and at least one year of Medical Front Desk experience are preferred. The role offers weekday shifts, no weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Candidate should ideally have a related degree in healthcare/administration.
• At least 1 year of Medical Front Desk experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Meet, greet, and assist patients promptly and professionally.
• Set up new patients and update information in the EMR system.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments and coordinate walk-ins.
• Answer phone calls and relay messages as needed.
• Maintain the front desk and reception area in an organized, orderly fashion.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurances.
• Process referrals and provide accurate referral information to patients.
• Balance cash register and ensure credit payments are accurate.
• Explain fees, services, and policies to patients.

Selected Responsibilities
