Job summary

Avance Care in Durham, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support one provider in a busy, patient-centered clinical setting. This full-time role features weekday shifts, no weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days of employment.

You will assist with exams, vaccines, data entry, and room preparation to ensure efficient patient care. Ideal candidates have CMA/CCMA/RMA or EMT certification and at least one year of MA experience, plus strong communication and a professional

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms
• Triage patients as necessary
• Administer vaccines and injections
• Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit
• Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures
• Administer medications
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered

Selected Responsibilities:
