Gastro Florida is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced outpatient team across multiple locations in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Polk counties.

The ideal candidate will have prior specialty office care experience and be comfortable working under the direction of the division practice manager. This on-site position requires strong patient interaction, attention to detail, and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• Previous specialty office care experience is required.
• Previous GI experience helpful.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Ability to float to different locations as needed.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Aufgaben

• Patient check-in and check-out.
• Insurance verification.
• Patient intake, vitals, medication reconciliation
• Completing medication refills and processing medication prior authorizations
• Order entry, CPT coding, and supporting the providers with documentation
• Understanding of common medications used to treat chronic conditions
• Strong proficiency with eClinicalWorks (ECW)
• Managing the fax inbox, including timely review, routing, and documentation
• Scheduling patient appointments, follow-ups, scheduling procedures (Colon, EGD, etc.) and coordinating provider workflows
