Job summary

VIVO Infusion in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Medical Administrative Assistant (Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist) to welcome patients, support clinicians, and maintain efficient operations. The role requires clinical and administrative experience, strong communication, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Mon-Fri, 7:30am–4:00pm, non-exempt, reports to Clinical Operations Manager. Compensation includes $20.00–$22.00 per hour, a 5% annual bonus target, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required before start date.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical environment.
• 1 year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role.
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities and render quality patient care.
• Room patients in person or virtually and update charts.
• Communicate patient data to providers and nurses for continuity of care.
• Provide front-end support: greet patients, scheduling, calls, payments.
• Oversee exam room turnover and assist providers as needed.
• Collect and submit lab specimens per directions.
• Obtain prior authorizations and document accordingly.
• Triage calls and manage messages; document appropriately.
• Order and manage supplies; maintain infection control.
