You will handle phones, schedule appointments, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and assist with billing and records.

The role may involve supporting workers' compensation, commercial carriers, employee health, and corporate accounts, with occasional late hours, holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year clerical/administrative experience; Insurance/Customer Service preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required in Employee Health and may also be required at other locations within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; IT/computer proficient; knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephones and patient appointment scheduling.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Post charges and assist with billing and medical records maintenance.
• Support business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health and corporate accounts as needed.
• May require late hours, holidays and weekends.
