Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Configuration Professional to lead Medicaid-related product capabilities within our care management platform. You will partner with Medicaid leaders and Agile teams to define the vision, prioritize work, and translate needs into actionable requirements, ensuring compliance and strong member outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years experience supporting healthcare technology platforms.
• Hands-on experience with GuidingCare, Epic, or similar platforms.
• Deep understanding of Medicaid care management and related workflows.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum/SAFe).
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong documentation of requirements, decisions, workflows, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as product owner for Medicaid capabilities within care management platform.
• Define product vision, roadmap, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Own and prioritize backlog based on value, compliance, and complexity.
• Translate business needs into features, stories, criteria, and configs.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and demos with Agile teams.
• Oversee configuration management activities and governance.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on options, risks, and releases.
• Ensure solutions support Medicaid workflows and reporting needs.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations, privacy, and security.
• Configure, validate, and deploy changes per change/release governance.
• Support implementation planning, release readiness, and stabilization.
• Analyze data and feedback to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Facilitate cross-functional decision making and risk-informed tradeoffs.
• Support change management, training, and stakeholder adoption.
