Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility Product Owner in Mississippi to translate eligibility policy into a clear, prioritized backlog. You will partner with state agency leaders and technology teams to ensure accurate, timely decisions for Medicaid members.

You will own the backlog, write epics and acceptance criteria, lead impact analysis on new requirements, and coordinate with policy, program staff, and delivery teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Product Owner, product manager, or business lead on government or healthcare systems.
• 3+ years with Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, or integrated eligibility systems.
• Working knowledge of MAGI and non-MAGI eligibility rules, verifications, and renewals.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for Medicaid eligibility and enrollment system.
• Translate policy into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead impact analysis for new federal and state requirements, including H.R. 1 provisions.
• Clarify rules with state policy and program staff and document decisions.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, developers, testers, and BAs through planning and refinement.
• Accept work against acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate dependencies with SNAP, MMIS, and managed care programs.
• Track outcomes (timeliness, auto-renewals, error rates) to guide priorities.
• Communicate progress, trade-offs, and risks to agency leadership.
