Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is assisting a boutique consulting firm in recruiting a Medicaid Eligibility Project Manager for Mississippi.

You will keep complex eligibility work on track from plan to go-live, bringing structure to policy changes and aligning state leaders, vendors, and delivery teams to surface risks early and resolve them. You will plan and manage Medicaid eligibility and enrollment projects, coordinate with eligibility system vendors and MCOs, and prepare executive briefings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience across large, multi-stakeholder technology or policy implementations.
• 3+ years of experience on Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, or public assistance programs.
• Experience with state agencies, vendors, and federal requirements.
• Strong planning, RAID management, and reporting using Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools.
• Experience with Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Clear, calm communication with executives, policy experts, and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage Medicaid eligibility and enrollment projects, including system changes and policy implementations.
• Build and maintain integrated project plans across state agencies, vendors, and delivery teams.
• Manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions with a RAID log.
• Lead implementation of new federal/state requirements within deadlines.
• Coordinate with eligibility system vendors, managed care organizations, and adjacent programs.
• Facilitate status meetings, steering committees, and document decisions and actions.
• Prepare status reports and executive briefings on progress, risks, and decisions required.
• Manage scope, change requests, and budget against contract and funding requirements.
