Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility Product Owner to translate complex eligibility policy into a prioritized backlog and clear epics for the state’s enrollment system.

You will partner with state agencies, policy experts, and technology teams to ensure timely, accurate decisions. The role demands strong backlog management, experience with MAGI/non-MAGI rules, and agile delivery in a government or healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, product manager, or business lead on government or healthcare systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, or integrated eligibility systems.
• Working knowledge of Medicaid eligibility rules, including MAGI and non-MAGI, renewals.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria and backlog management in Jira/Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum teams.
• Clear, plain-spoken communication with technical teams and agency executives.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for Medicaid eligibility and enrollment system.
• Translate policy into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead impact analysis for new federal and state requirements.
• Partner with state policy and program staff to clarify rules.
• Work with Scrum Masters, developers, testers, and business analysts through planning, refinement, reviews, and acceptance.
• Accept completed work against acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate dependencies with SNAP, MMIS, and managed care organizations.
• Track product outcomes, such as processing timeliness, auto-renewal rates, and error rates.
• Communicate progress, trade-offs, and risks to agency leadership.
