Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring a Public Benefit Specialist for on-site work at OU Health in Oklahoma City. You will interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility and assist with applications, while ensuring timely processing and accurate submissions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare interacting with patients about hospital financial issues.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance requirements and related processes.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT/procedure codes.
• Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance and call center experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview referred uninsured/under-insured patients to determine program eligibility.
• Obtain required documents to accompany the Medicaid/assistance applications.
• Update insurance information and ensure timely posting of billing or adjustments.
• Document all actions and communications in patient accounting systems.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal program requirements and collaborate with Medicaid caseworkers.
