Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Public Benefit Specialist for on-site work at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. You will interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility, assist with applications, and coordinate submissions to support timely billing and adjustments.

Knowledge of revenue cycle and insurance processes is preferred. Minimum 1–2 years in healthcare facing patients, High School diploma or GED, and CRCR certification within 9 months are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCR certification within 9 months of hire preferred.
• 1-2 years of healthcare experience interacting with patients.

Responsibilities

• Interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility.
• Assist with Medicaid and financial assistance applications.
• Follow up on submitted applications to ensure timely billing or adjustments.
• Document all actions in patient accounting systems and maintain knowledge of state/federal program requirements.
