Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring on-site at OU Health in Oklahoma City, OK to support Medicaid eligibility determinations and financial assistance processes for uninsured patients.

The role involves interviewing patients, assisting with applications, following up on submissions, and coordinating eligibility with state and federal programs. You will document actions in patient accounting systems and maintain knowledge of evolving requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with patients about hospital financial issues.
• Understanding of revenue cycle including admissions, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for authorizations and benefits verification.

Responsibilities

• Interview uninsured/under‑insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility or financial assistance.
• Assist with applications to facilitate accurate and timely submissions.
• Follow up on submitted applications to ensure timely billing or adjustment processing.
• Review referred patients for program eligibility opportunities and coordinate the process.
• Communicate with patients to obtain required documents.
• Update insurance information and ensure timely posting after determination.
• Document all actions in patient accounting systems.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal program requirements and share with colleagues.
• Develop relationships with Medicaid caseworkers and collaborate with other revenue cycle teams.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
