Job summary

Central Neighborhood Health Foundation is seeking an Enrollment Specialist to help patients obtain and maintain health coverage through Medi-Cal, Covered California, and CalFresh. You will perform outreach, assist with renewals, and enter data in the EHR, ensuring continuous access to care.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with DPSS, health plans, and community resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CAA (Certified Application Assistor) Certification required. If not current, must be obtained within six months of hire.
• One year of experience in a medical office or related healthcare enrollment setting preferred.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Experience assisting patients with health insurance enrollment and navigating government benefits programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with Medi-Cal enrollment, renewal, and CalFresh applications.
• Educate patients on Covered California and Medi-Cal options.
• Conduct proactive outreach to prevent coverage lapses.
• Enter patient information accurately in the EHR and maintain records.
• Coordinate with DPSS, BenefitsCal, and plans for enrollment support.
