Central Neighborhood Health Foundation seeks an Enrollment Specialist to assist patients with health insurance enrollment, Medi-Cal renewal and retention, and CalFresh applications. This role emphasizes outreach, documentation, and coordinating with health plans to ensure continuous coverage.

The position requires a high school diploma, CAA certification, and strong communication skills. Training is provided to meet certification requirements and HIPAA guidelines.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CAA Certification required; within six months if not current.
• One year of experience in medical office or related healthcare enrollment preferred.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Experience with enrollment, Medi-Cal eligibility or renewals preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Educates patients on managed care and enrollment options in clinic and community.
• Screens enrollment eligibility and schedules initial enrollment appointments.
• Enrolls patients in Covered California health plans.
• Reviews Medi-Cal termination/renewal lists and prioritizes outreach.
• Outreach to patients at risk of losing Medi-Cal coverage; explain renewal requirements.
• Maintains and updates retention lists and assists with re-enrollment when appropriate.
• Contacts health plans for PCP changes on behalf of patients.
• Educates patients on coverage options and transportation benefits.
• Coordinates with enrollment personnel to facilitate continued coverage.
