Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities for residents. You will help administer prescribed medications, document in EMAR/MAR, and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications within the established scope of practice and assists with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents and care concerns to appropriate individuals and maintains the Daily Log.
• Performs housekeeping tasks and assists residents to meals and activities.
• Responds promptly to resident calls and emergencies and participates in activity programs.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information and supports move-in transitions.
• Documents all medication administration on EMAR/MAR and communicates needs to HCD.
• Re-orders medications, faxes to pharmacy, and informs residents' families as needed.
• Completes medication cart audits as assigned and passes medication observations.
• Attends and completes required in-services and staff meetings.
