Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, VA seeks a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities for residents, including administering prescribed medications within scope of practice. You will maintain policies, report concerns, perform light housekeeping, and respond to emergencies.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, active CNA and Med Tech licenses, successful completion of medication observations and cart audits, and annual medication education hours.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident spaces as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Document resident status, appointments, admissions, and transfers.
• Maintain EMAR/MAR documentation and Daily Log.
