Job summary

Harmony is seeking a Med Tech in Virginia Beach to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities for residents. The role includes administering prescribed medications within scope, documenting in EMAR/MAR, and maintaining medication carts.

You will support resident wellness, attend trainings, and collaborate with the nursing team. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of Medication Aide Course, and current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or ED.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assists in planning activity programs for residents.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Checks on residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Communicates resident status and appointments to staff.
• Attends medication trainings and completes medication cart audits.
