Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities. You will administer prescribed medications within scope, coordinate with nursing staff, and support residents in activities and transitions.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, complete Medication Aide training, and hold CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Medication Aide Course is required.
• CNA and Med Tech license in good standing are required.
• Must pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must pass all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work weekends and holidays and handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Reports incidents and resident status to appropriate staff.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Moves residents to dining, activities, and appointments.
• Documents medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Re-orders medications and communicates with pharmacy as needed.
