Job summary

Bridgeway Park Grand Haven Senior Living Community seeks dedicated caregivers to support residents with daily living activities and specialized dementia care. Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, bathing, dressing, and mobility, while ensuring safety and comfort with compassionate care.

Demonstrated experience in dementia caregiving is valued; 3 years of experience preferred. Must pass background checks, have a high school diploma or GED, and be reliable with weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Administer medications and injections per medical charts and supervisor guidance.
• Maintain a clean environment and perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Document medications and resident observations accurately and promptly.
• Support other team members in delivering compassionate resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend.
