Job summary

Bridgeway Park Lansing Senior Living Community is seeking compassionate caregivers to support residents, including those with dementia. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and administer medications under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Pass medications and provide hands-on care to residents.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment including light housekeeping.
• Follow safety and health standards including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate to supervisor.
• Document medications and care notes and chart accordingly.
• Answer call lights and assist with meals.
• Support other team members and complete required documents.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
