Job summary

Bridgeway Park Lansing Senior Living Community is expanding its care team to provide compassionate dementia care. We are seeking dedicated professionals to deliver high‑quality, person‑centered support to residents with cognitive challenges.

You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications as directed, maintain a clean environment, and document care and changes in condition. A HS diploma, 3 years of experience, and a background check are required; every other weekend shifts

Qualifications

  • 3 years of caregiving experience required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed; document administration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and perform light housekeeping as needed.
  • Follow infection control procedures and safety standards.
  • Observe changes in residents' condition and report to supervisor promptly.
  • Complete required charts and documentation.
  • Answer call lights and respond to residents' needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
  • Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
  • Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
  • Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
  • Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
  • Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
  • Assisting other team members with their duties.
  • Complete all required documents and charting.
  • Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
  • Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
