Job summary

Bridgeway Park Tecumseh Senior Living Community is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team, focusing on residents with dementia. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications under supervision, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

We value reliability, empathy, and teamwork. A high school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience are required, with every other weekend availability and a background check mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3 years of caregiving experience, preferably in dementia care.
• Clear ability to communicate with residents and maintain dignity.
• Commitment to safety, infection control, and resident well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as transferring in/out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Provide hands-on care and help with medication administration under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment including light housekeeping as needed.
• Follow safety, health, and infection control procedures at all times.
• Document care and communicate changes to the supervisor promptly.
• Support team members and complete required charts and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend.
