Job summary

Bridgeway Park Tecumseh Senior Living Community in Tecumseh, MI is seeking compassionate caregivers to support residents, including those with dementia. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and administering medications under supervision.

This on-site position requires reliability and teamwork in a welcoming, resident-centered environment. Candidate should have dementia caregiving experience, a minimum of 3 years in care, and the ability to pass a background check; weekend

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in caregiving or a related role.
• Experience with dementia care and cognitive challenges is preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking).
• Administer medications and injections as per medical charts.
• Maintain cleanliness and light housekeeping.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and report changes to supervisor.
• Complete documentation and charting of care and medications.
• Respond to call lights and assist residents with meals.
• Collaborate with team to support residents' needs.
• Follow procedures and provide safe, respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
