Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Medication Aide Course is required.
• Must hold current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Pass all medication cart audits.
• Attend 4 hours of medication administration education annually.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Team player who follows supervisor instructions.
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency alerts.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activities.
• Document resident status, appointments, and transfers.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Complete medication cart audits and maintain cart as directed.
• Document all medication administration in EMAR/MAR and report exceptions to HCD.
