Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, Virginia seeks a Medication Aide to assist with the administration of prescribed medications, support residents with daily living activities, and maintain accurate EMAR/MAR documentation.

This role requires a CNA and Med Tech license in good standing, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA and Med Tech licensure in good standing.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living
• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (RN/LPN, ED)
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies
• Assists in planning activity programs for residents
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities
• Keeps daily log and EMAR/MAR documentation
• Re-orders medications and communicates with pharmacy as needed
• Completes medication cart audits and passes medication administration observations
• Attends in-services and staff meetings
• Flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays
