Job summary

Horizon House is seeking a compassionate Med Tech to assist residents with medications in an Assisted Living setting. You will work under an RN Delegator, document administration, and collaborate with nurses and CNAs to ensure safe, accurate care.

The role requires WA NAC certification, ongoing training, CPR/First Aid, and food handling credentials. Growth opportunities and a supportive team environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Active WA State NAC with OBRA Registry.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Nurse Delegation Core Training completed.
• Nurse Delegation with focus on Diabetes Management completed.
• CPR and First Aid (within 30 days).
• Food Handler’s permit (within 14 days).
• DSHS Dementia and Mental Health training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Accurately manage and administer medications per physician orders and policies.
• Document medication administration and monitor effectiveness and side effects.
• Protect resident rights and confidentiality in all medication delivery.
• Transcribe orders into MAR within scope of practice.
• Maintain secure storage and accountability for all medications.
• Report changes in condition to nursing staff in a timely manner.
• Communicate with licensed staff, physicians, families, and care team regarding resident status.
