Job summary

Horizon House (CCRC) in Seattle is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician for an on-call role. You will support residents with medications under RN Delegator supervision, collaborating with nurses, CNAs and care teams to ensure safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate holds an active WA NAC, OBRA registry, and EMR experience, with CPR/First Aid and a state-issue credential in good standing. This position offers a union pay scale and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Active WA State NAC with OBRA registry.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with EMR systems and basic computer use.
• CPR/First Aid certification; renewal within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Accurately manage and administer medications per physician orders and policies.
• Document medication administration, effectiveness and side effects.
• Transcribe orders into MAR within scope of practice.
• Maintain secure storage for medications including controlled substances.
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Order and renew medications as needed.
• Ensure proper disposal of expired or collected meds.
