Harmony Senior Services in Lorton, Virginia is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities while administering prescribed medications within scope. You will maintain policy knowledge, report resident concerns, support activity programs, and ensure proper medication documentation and communication with the health care team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, current CNA and Med Tech licenses, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must complete the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.

Responsabilités

• Assists with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Maintains knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents involving residents and care concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
