Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Lorton, VA is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities, including medication administration within scope.

You will maintain records, participate in trainings, perform medication cart audits, respond to calls, and support the nursing team. Candidates must have CNA and Med Tech licenses, completion of Medication Aide Course, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Active CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Pass 2 medication Observations annually.
• Pass all medication cart audits.
• Attend 4 hours of medication administration education annually.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within scope.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures related to the role.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or ED.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls or emergency alerts.
• Support activity programs for residents.
• Document and communicate resident status and appointments.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and emotional support.
• Complete medication cart audits and maintain cart as directed.
• Pass medication administration observations and document in EMAR/MAR.
