Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks Medication Technicians (Med Tech – CNA/HCA) to provide compassionate, direct care to residents, assisting with medication administration and activities of daily living in accordance with personalized plans. You will be part of a team that fosters a supportive environment ensuring comfort, safety and well-being.

The role requires a valid CNA/HCA license, 12+ months of medication administration experience, and a dedication to dignified resident care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid state CNA or HCA license per state regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.
• Nurse Delegation and Diabetes Specialty Certificates or willingness to obtain within a prescribed period.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medication, including self-administration as outlined in their care plan.
• Follow documentation protocols and report changes in resident status.
• Manage medication inventory and coordinate re-orders/deliveries with pharmacies.
• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living in a team setting.
• Promote independence and provide emotional support with continuous engagement and companionship.
• Encourage participation in life enrichment activity programs.
• Maintain open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents and staff.
