Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech – CNA/HCA) to provide compassionate, direct care to residents, assisting with medication administration and daily living activities. You will work as part of a team that ensures comfort, safety, and well-being for our residents.

The role requires CNA/HCA licensing, First Aid/CPR, and at least 12 months of medication administration experience, with weekend rotation expected and ongoing opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CNA or HCA license per state regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Nurse Delegation and Diabetes Certification or willingness to obtain within a prescribed period.
• Minimum 12 months of medication administration experience in a professional caregiving setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medication, including self-administration as outlined in care plans.
• Follow documentation protocols and report changes in resident status.
• Assist in managing medication inventory and storage, and coordinate re-orders with pharmacies.
• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living in a team setting.
• Encourage independence and provide emotional support through engagement and companionship.
• Participate in life enrichment activity programs and resident events as appropriate.
• Promote open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
