Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech – CNA/HCA) to provide compassionate, direct care to residents, assisting with medication administration and daily living activities.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a supportive environment, and adherence to personalized care plans to ensure residents’ comfort and safety. Weekend rotation and ongoing training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state CNA or HCA license per state regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.
• Nurse Delegation and Diabetes Specialty Certificates or willingness to obtain within a prescribed period.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medication as per care plan.
• Follow documentation protocols and report changes in resident status.
• Manage medication inventory and coordinate re-orders with pharmacies.
• Provide activities of daily living support and companionship.
• Encourage participation in life enrichment activities.
• Promote open communication among residents, families, and staff.
• Work as part of a team to ensure resident safety and comfort.
