Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Laurel Hill, Virginia, is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities. The role includes administering prescribed medications within scope, maintaining EMAR/MAR records, and supporting residents with move-in transitions and daily routines.

Ideal candidates will hold a High School Diploma or GED, complete Medication Aide Course, and possess both CNA and Med Tech licenses.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
Must possess CNA and Med Tech licenses from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
Must pass medication observations and cart audits annually.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
Administer prescribed medications within scope of practice and document in EMAR/MAR.
Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
Respond promptly to resident calls or emergencies.
Assist in planning and conducting activity programs.
Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
Complete medication cart audits and maintain the cart.
Report resident status and incidents to appropriate staff.
Re-orders medications and communicate with residents/families as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
Attend medication trainings and in-services.
